The principals at ATB possess a deep understanding of the tax and accounting industry. As practicing Enrolled Agents with over 50 years of experience, we have successfully owned and operated a tax consultancy firm serving approximately 1,000 clients a year.

ATB, based in North San Diego County, operates extensively throughout California. We actively engage with buyers and sellers year-round at various conferences and events across the state. Lynn DeSanti

Lynn DeSanti, E.A. is a Broker and Principal in Accounting & Tax Brokerage. Lynn has been in private practice since 1982 and an Enrolled Agent since 1985.

She began her career as an outside consultant with Price Waterhouse and was utilized to train clients in proper bookkeeping techniques. In addition, Lynn was the Corporate Controller for a title insurance company before starting her own practice.

In the early to mid-years of her practice she focused on the healthcare sector, assisting medical groups and hospitals with mergers and acquisitions.

She also consulted with physicians and hospitals in contract negotiations, financial consulting, and tax planning/preparation.

Lynn operated a tax & consulting practice in North San Diego County with her son & business partner, who is also an Enrolled Agent. They recently retired from tax preparation and sold their practice. Prior to the sale, they prepared approximately 850 returns per year, provided bookkeeping services, after the fact payroll, tax audit representation and tax consultancy services. 

Her experience in M&A, the tax industry, and understanding of the delicate accountant/client relationship is why she & her partner founded a brokerage firm specializing in the sale of accounting & tax practices.

You will see Lynn occasionally exhibiting at industry trade shows or providing CE seminars on business sales with multiple examples tailored to selling your practice.

Steve Van Voorhis

Steve Van Voorhis is an Enrolled Agent and Licensed Real Estate Agent with over 25 years of experience in private practice and tax office management. As a Founding Principal and Chief Operating Officer at Accounting & Tax Brokerage (ATB), Steve specializes in facilitating the sale and acquisition of California accounting firms, ensuring seamless transactions that meet the unique needs of both buyers and sellers.

Steve’s extensive background in practice management allows him to engage in meaningful discussions about operational challenges and opportunities. His client-focused approach ensures that every buyer and seller receive equal consideration and respect, recognizing that each practice is unique and that successful transitions require the right fit.

A well-respected figure in the accounting brokerage industry, Steve is frequently on the road exhibiting at trade shows across the western United States. Through these events, ATB provides valuable, no-cost insights on practice sales and acquisitions to thousands of professionals each year. His dedication to industry education, strategic matchmaking, and client success has solidified his reputation as a trusted advisor in the field.

Kelli Van Voorhis is responsible for our keeping our office running smoothly. She is equally responsible for keeping our sales timelines along with ensuring all contracts & disclosures are completed. Kelli can also be found exhibiting at our trade shows and is the one responsible for the fun, yet useful, promo items we have every year. In her free time, Kelli enjoys going to Disneyland and camping.
